A team of St. Charles investigators searched Jorion's residence Monday afternoon. Witnesses reported seeing detectives leave with brown bags.

Kenner Police Department Spokesman Lt. Brian McGregor confirmed his officers assisted St. Charles detectives with serving a search warrant at Jorion's residence.

"St. Charles seized some items from the home. A car was towed back to St. Charles for the investigation," he said.

What sad and awful news :( These mothers who choose their own needs over their children really pi$$ me off. Shacking up with trash and criminals, just so they won't be lonely. They should think of who they are are bringing around their children. :furious:

Investigators believe White was suffocated by Beckley sometime between the late hours of April 21 and early morning of April 22. He wrapped her body in a sheet and transported it in his vehicle to St. Rose in an effort to cover it up.

St. Charles Parish detectives outlined the apparent cause of White’s death along with evidence linking Beckley to the crime, including blood found in the back of his car and extra-wide tire tracks near the scene matching his vehicle, according to recently released court records.

Kenner man found guilty of killing girlfriend's daughter, dumping her body in a ditch

A St. Charles Parish judge on Friday found a Kenner man guilty of killing his longtime girlfriend's daughter and dumping her body in a St. Rose drainage ditch last year, the conclusion of a case that also involved disturbing allegations of sexual abuse, District Attorney Joel Chaisson said.

Daniel Beckley, 41, faces mandatory life imprisonment following his convictions on counts of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice in the death of Jorion White, 16, with whom he was accused of having sex.

He waived his right to a jury trial, choosing for his fate to be decided by 29th Judicial District Court Judge Tim Marcel, who heard the case over four days.

Sentencing is currently scheduled for December 12th.

Man sentenced to life in prison for killing 16-year-old, dumping body in St. Rose

Daniel Beckley, the Kenner man who found guilty in October of murdering 16-year-old Jorion White and leaving her body in St. Rose, was sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years by Judge Timothy S. Marcel Tuesday.

Marcel sentenced Beckley, 41, to life in prison for the charge of second degree murder and 30 years in prison for the obstruction of justice he committed when he disposed of her body in a drainage canal alongside St. Rose Avenue. Those sentences are to run consecutively and served at hard labor.

According to the office of St. Charles Parish District Attorney Joel Chaisson II, White’s father provided an emotional victim impact statement before sentencing in which he told Beckley his actions had destroyed his life and “took my baby away from me.”
