An investigation by Texas Rangers reportedly was underway this past week into the identification of a human skull and skeletal bones that were found last Sunday afternoon on some city-owned land near the city landfill south of Lamesa...

Both Captain Hogg and Chief Deputy Ortegon said the skeletal remains appeared to have been laying on top of the ground and not covered by anything, although they probably had been hidden from view by tall weeds in the area.

Sounds like they think the remains are those of Travis Austin Wright, missing from Orlando, FL since May 2015. His red Kawasaki motorcycle was found in Texas last year.

“The young man had just gotten out of a mental health facility the Monday that he disappeared, according to his father, and his parents are very concerned over his disappearance.”

Was searching for updates to see if they've officially identified the remains & realized I'd typed the name incorrectly in my previous post. I think this is Trevor Austin Wright (sorry - my husband's name is Travis). Here is a link to his Namus profile:

That probably means that they didn't find all of his remains.

I️ emailed over the summer and didn’t hear back. Followed up earlier today and Carrie from NamUs replied that she’s still awaiting confirmation.

Can anyone find any more information on this? Was foul play suspected? My boyfriend knew him a while before all of this happened.

it seems like he died in a motorcycle accident that wasnt discovered right away.

I knew Trevor. He used to be my coworker and was a close friend of my former boyfriend. I had been to his house a few weeks before he went missing with my then-boyfriend (he lived in the same neighborhood). He was working on his motorcycle and telling us about his upcoming plans.

Trevor was a really nice, goofy guy but his demeanor had changed recently, I think he was going through some tough times. When I saw he was missing, it came as a huge shock. I hope he's in a better place now and may he rest in peace.
