Family and Friends of Missing Middletown Men Search for Answers

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Monica Salazar is hoping someone out there knows the whereabouts of her uncle, two cousins, and their family friend.

Miguel Sosa-Luna, 25, Urbano Morales-Santiago, 35, Martin Santos-Luna, 41, and Hector Gutierrez, 32, all went missing nearly two weeks ago on April 11.

“It’s been very difficult," Salazar said. "Since April 11th we haven’t known anything about our family friend Hector Gutierrez and my three family members.”

Police say the men were last seen in a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. The car was parked in the Chester Diner lot.

A family member called Sosa-Luna on the phone that same day. Salazar says that phone call appeared suspicious and has no idea why they were in Chester.

Since then no one has seen or heard from any of the four men.

I would assume they were in Chesters to eat, if its a diner. What were they doing that day? Going to the mall, movies, hunting, fishing, or just cruising? Are they from Middletown? Is their car missing? So many unanswered questions. IMHO

Chester Police say all 4 men arrived at the Chester Diner in the early afternoon on April 11. A motion activated camera at Chester Collision next door captured the men arriving in a 2000 Chevrolet Equinox owned by a family member. The video shows several of the doors opening, then closing with no one exiting the vehicle. The camera shuts off and does not capture the men leaving the vehicle.

In looking at the one profile on fb I got that vibe, but.... I still hope they are found safe regardless. I see lots of Rooster pics....make one wonder if they just like tough chicken dinners.....IMHO

Cops: 4 Middletown men may have visited Wallkill farm before vanishing
April 26, 2016

Snipped...
...Village of Chester Police Chief Peter Graziano said Tuesday that one of the missing men, Martin Santos-Luna, had an arrangement where he raised pigs and cows on an 83-acre property off Red Top Road in the hamlet of Wallkill.

...Graziano said Santos-Luna and the other men would travel to the farm to feed the livestock and all four of them may have been there the day they went missing. He said the animals were being removed Tuesday.

...Bruce McCord, the owner of the property, moved to Virginia late last year. He said Gutierrez lived there during the nine years he worked for him. He said Santos-Luna was getting ready to sign an official contract to raise livestock there when the men went missing.

The mysterious disappearance has put some in Middletown's large Hispanic community on edge. The Mexican consulate has become involved in the case.

...Police believe the cameras didn’t capture the men leaving the car because the re-opening of the doors wasn’t enough to activate the camera again.
Officials say no one in the area witnessed where the men went or who they might have met while in the area. The men did not enter the diner.

It seems they were killed in the Likquid Lounge in Chester.

From the article:
"Graziano said it appears also that Tartaglione acted alone.
'We believe he's the sole player,' Graziano said.
On Tuesday morning, police agencies, including state police, FBI personnel and Mount Hope police, massed at Tartaglione's rural property at 419 Old Mountain Road.
Police on scene wouldn't give details but they said the operation started about 7 a.m. FBI personnel arriving on scene told state police they were there to help with 'the dig.'
Forensics teams were arriving throughout the afternoon.

About 30 police cars were parked along Old Mountain Road at the Harding Farm, which has a historical marker dating back to 1770. The farm reportedly covers at least 170 acres.
Police, calling it a crime scene, blocked off roadways leading to the property."

How was Tartaglione able to kill all four men by himself (I see that he is a retired cop,so he has some sort of expertise in restraining/subduing people)??

I hope that the men's remains are found as soon as possible.

he shot them im sure. poor guys.

"Bodies found on property of ex-cop charged in quadruple murder"

"Four bodies, believed to be those of the Middletown men who disappeared in April, were found Tuesday on a Mount Hope property occupied by the retired police officer who federal prosecutors have charged with murdering them, officials have confirmed."

"At about 3 p.m., law-enforcement personnel, including staffers from the FBI's New York Office of Special Operations, began leaving the site, carrying large plastic garbage bags. They would not say what the bags contained. "

You can read Tartaglione's indictment at the link.

It seems they were killed in the Likquid Lounge in Chester.

This is my first post so please excuse if I say anything to violate TOS. I believe (imo) the brother also sold Likquid Lounge around August. Again, not sure of the accuracy of the sale of the club. But I find it odd that someone had no idea 4 people were killed at the club they owned.

Tartaglione was a dirty cop from day one, this isn't a "good cop turns bad" story like some places are spinning it.

Of course, he was able to stay on the job somehow. Funny how that happens with so many of these violent and corrupt officers. retired with a nice pension as well.

The musclebound Tartaglione retired from the Briarcliff Manor Police Department after a somewhat sketchy career. He was charged with lying under oath to protect a woman busted for drunken driving in 1999 — and placed on indefinite suspension despite an acquittal the next year. He won $320,000 in back pay and returned to the department after filing a 2002 lawsuit.

He had briefly worked as a cop for police departments in Pawling, Dutchess County, and Mount Vernon before his time in Briarcliff Manor.

Tartaglione was the target of an FBI civil rights investigation for physically abusing several people, including public access television host Clay Tiffany. The town settled with the now-deceased Tiffany for $1 million.

Don't do drugs (meaning: steroids) kids.

Just heard about this on Univision. I'm glad there's justice.

I'm curious. What makes you emphasize steroids?

Look up Nicholas Tartaglione's pics. I think that's why they say it lol.
