Paul Schneider, 72, and his wife Lynne, 71, left their home outside Kettle Falls around 7 am. They spoke with family members about going to get some coffee around 8 am and have not been seen since.

Paul has serious medical problems while Lynne suffers from Alzheimer's Disease.

They were last seen driving a 2004 silver Ford F350 pickup truck with Washington license plate B30763W.

Two days later and only the article above has been published about their disappearance. They have been missing since Sunday and it is now Thursday.

I'm glad you pointed out the time period they have been missing.
It said they lived outside Kettle Files and was going to get some coffee at 7 am on Sunday morning.
Not many places are open at that time of morning, except for church, gas stations, grocery stores and fast food.
I wonder where they normally go. Maybe they were just going to buy a container of coffee?

Here is another link that says they left home at 7am and talked to family member at 8am saying they were going to get some coffee.
Apparently the other link said the same thing but I just picked up on it. Did they meet or talk on a cell phone? How far out of Kettle Falls do they live to get coffee? Maybe it was closer for them to go to a different town nearby?

I did a little Internet searching it appears that Mr. & Mrs. Schneider live close to the Columbia River. In order to stay within TOS I am not posting any details.

When there is water nearby and the missing person(s) are young and intoxicated OR elderly, I am always extra worried about them being in the water.

Very worried for these folks.

Silver Alert issued for missing couple

Paul is terminally ill with cancer and Kathie has severe Alzheimer’s. Their kids say they've searched hundreds of miles the past few days but they've found no sign of their parents.

“My father has cancer and it's pretty severe, he has no strength and no energy. My mom has Alzheimer's and doesn't recognize my dad 90-percent of the time,” said their son.

Both Stevens and Ferry counties are working on the search, and they have alerted the US Forest Service, DNR and the Border Patrol.

From your link, they did plan to get a cup of coffee, but where would they normally go to get one?

The last anyone heard from Paul and Kathie Schneider they were driving out to get a cup of coffee Sunday morning but the couple never came home.

I would assume the family has been to every coffee shop within 100 miles of their home, since the family said they drove everywhere looking for the parents.

Snipped for space

They lived near Kettle Falls which is in Stevens county on the east side of the Columbia River. The adjoining Ferry County is on the left side of the river. The Canadian border is at the north end of both counties. Hwy 395 goes thru Kettle Falls and crosses the river to Ferry County where it intersects at Barneys Junction with Hwy 20 aka The Sherman Pass Byway. At this intersection is The Tribal Trails Noisy Waters convenience store which sells fuel, deli and groceries. If they stopped there for coffee (or gas), they could have turned the wrong way when they left. I wonder if there is a security camera at this place? What about a credit card or cell phone use?
Maybe someone that knows how can bring a map on here.

You're right. They must have already done that.
I wonder if the family checked for security cameras and/or credit card and cell phone usage?

What about the weather up there? Are there any closed roads for winter snows nearby?

Oh no . :( Why wait so many days for this alert or is it just now picking up traction ?

I can't speak for the mountainous remote logging roads, haven't been up there yet this year, but most of this area has been unseasonably warm. Snow packs were said to be normal for the year but it was an extremely short winter with an early warm up. These remote roads can be deceiving though; even with a weak winter season. Last year, there was a warm up similar to this year with less snow and a couple got their car stuck in a logging road up in Northern Idaho by the Canadian border because the roads were really wet and muddy. They had to walk in the dark for hours wearing summer clothes to get help.

So sad it has been so long! Reminds me of the couple in California that got lost after visiting the casino. I am heartbroken for the family.

Something tells me these two are in the water, still seat belted in, deliberately.

Bumping for the Schneiders. I can't find anything new on them :(.
