LA - St Charles Parish, BlkFem, 45-60, in Lake Ponchartrain, May'16 - Estelle Webb

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...arre-spillway/

Railroad work crews have found a body in Lake Pontchartrain, just west of the entrance canal to the lower section of the Bonnet Carre Spillway... in an advanced decomposed state.

They say she was wearing a red and white plaid button down shirt, a white undershirt, and a blue sports bra.

Going to check social media to see if these girls are still active and can be ruled out.

Bingham was last seen wearing a red and plaid long sleeve shirt, grey jeans, and red and white tennis shoes. She also has a multi-color twist hairstyle.

Clouet Street, where she was last seen, appears to be fairly close to parts of the Bonnet Carre spillway.

I emailed the department secretary. (Cross referenced the phone number in the article with the listings on the sheriff's phone directory)

I said that a 'fellow poster on an amateur sleuth forum' noticed the similarities in clothing.

Let's hope this is Shirnell and she's on her way back to her family soon.

    http://wgno.com/2016/05/05/police-tr...as-a-homicide/

An autopsy revealed that the body is an African-American woman between the ages of 45-60 years old. She is approximately 5’6 and 180 lbs...

She had no natural teeth. She was found with Gold Capped Dentures on the top of her mouth, but no lower dentures at the time the body was discovered.
She'd only been in the water two or three days, they think.

Yeah, and Shirlene is a smaller woman as well as being too young. Looks like just an odd coincidence.

I found a 70 year old who went missing in Feb. http://ux.wwltv.com/story/news/local...oman/79927726/

Here's a 55 year old, but she's too short and the weight is off.

This is a pain in the butt to search for. Louisiana's missing persons page stinks and doesn't seem like it's updated regularly.

My guess is this won't be a missing person.

They should start looking for any missing from St Charles & other up-River parishes. If she was found in the spillway, chances are she could have entered the river from one of those parishes. Lake Ponchartrain, really an estuary, empties into the Gulf.

Reading other articles on that newspaper's website, it appears that Bonnet Carre spillway is a popular place for bodies to be found, both washed downriver as you suggest and dumped locally. I hope they're paying attention to all the options.
