A mother of two from north suburban Buffalo Grove has died after a drive-by shooting on a Wisconsin highway. Tracy Czaczkowski, 44, and her family were heading home from Wisconsin Dells.

Her family confirmed her death Tuesday afternoon.

Czaczkowski was in the passenger seat of her family's SUV with her husband and their children when police said their vehicle was targeted at random.

The above article stated the husband of the victim is or was a DEA agent but the shooting was random and not related. So why is the DEA taking over the case? How horrible for that family to witness. For no damn reason other than 3 losers out drinking and looking for violence.Prayers for Tracy and the family.

Sauk County prosecutors filed a charge of first-degree intentional homicide Wednesday against 20-year-old Zachary T. Hays of West Allis for the shooting death of 44-year-old Tracy Czaczkowski...

The Sauk County shooting was part of an alleged crime spree that authorities say began Sunday morning when Hays fatally shot a neighbor in his West Allis apartment building, 42-year-old Gabriel Sanchez. It ended later that afternoon near DeForest, where officers used road spikes to disable a silver Chevy Blazer that Hays was driving...

The Sauk County criminal complaint states that detectives interviewed Hays’ brother, 30-year-old Jeremy Hays, who was a passenger in the Blazer. A third brother also is alleged to have been in the vehicle, but has not been identified due to a cognitive disability. All three men are in custody.

OK,I see the shooter was suffering from paranoia and forced the other brothers to go along and one had a cognitive disability.

Highway Shooter Not Guilty by Mental Defect in Fatal Shooting of Buffalo Grove Mom

Zachary Hays, 21, will spend 40 years in a mental institution for fatally shooting Tracy Czaczkowski. Doctors said he was schizophrenic.

Hays suffered from schizophrenia and four doctors ruled he was mentally unstable in the months leading up to the shooting in May 2016, according to WISC-TV. The doctors determined Hays believed groups, including the FBI, were following him and would drive cars with tinted windows. This lead him to open fire on the Czaczkowski' SUV, which also had tinted windows.
