Officers on the scene believe one person was involved in an initial confrontation and was shot. The two other victims were believed to have been shot when they came to the aid of the first victim.

Authorities say two of the victims are males and one is a female. (...)

Police are also investigating a nearby shooting in the 13000 block of Connecticut Avenue at the Giant Foods. It is unclear at this time if the two shooting are related.

McSwain said there is no suspect in custody but there is a “person of interest and hopefully we can capture him in the near future.” He said they had “no reason to believe the victims knew the suspect” in the mall shooting.

Police also said that shortly after the mall shooting a woman was fatally shot at a Giant grocery store in the Aspen Hill area, about eight miles from the mall. Initial details were sparse.

He works for the Federal Protection Service (as a part of Homeland Security). He apparently shot and killed his ex-wife yesterday in a HS parking lot.

Gunfire erupted just before 5 p.m. Thursday outside High Point High School in Beltsville, Md., a Washington, D.C. suburb.

Prince George's County Police later said that the suspected gunman is Eulalio Tordil, a 62-year-old employee of Homeland Security's Federal Protective Service, which provides services for federal buildings.

A second shooting occurred shortly after at a shopping center in nearby Aspen Hill, Maryland, resulting in the death of a woman. Police say that the same man, Eulalio Tordil, is responsible for both shootings, as well as a shooting that occurred at a high school in neighboring Prince George's County Thursday afternoon, which resulted in the death of the 62-year-old suspect's estranged wife, 44-year-old Gladys Tordil. Law enforcement is currently actively working to arrest him.

CNN is reporting that Tordil was placed on administrative leave from his job and had his gun taken away in March after his ex-wife obtained a protective order against him.

From what I understand so far, they haven't confirmed if he is or not. I believe they suspect he is though but that's just my opinion.
