State Medical Examiner Karen Gunson performed the autopsy on Wilsonís body. She recalled finding clues that led her to believe his death wasnít a suicide after all. There was more than one gunshot wound and the locationÖ was very atypical for a suicideĒ...

But there was another mysterious clue: Investigators found drops of blood outside the truck that formed a trail about 70 yards down the parking lot.

And a week after Wilsonís body was discovered, a weapon was found in the woods. Detectives learned it was Wilsonís own gun that was used in his death.

A passer-by found Frank Wilson, 68, dead Sept. 24 parked in the Trillium Sno Park lot off U.S. 26. The area is remote with limited visitors and no video surveillance...

Data from a Fitbit, an electronic health and fitness tracker, that Wilson was wearing on his wrist showed that he likely died on Sept. 23, the affidavit said.

Investigators have interviewed transients who lived near the parking lot but none provided information leading to a suspect, Terway said. Authorities have, however, identified several "persons of interest" in the case who may have had some form of contact with Wilson before his death, he said.
