Lubbock Police have a homicide victim, and now they are trying to figure out who stabbed her, where and why. The investigation started around one o'clock Thursday afternoon when Jonathan Beard drove his wife, 38-year-old Sharon Beard, to UMC. She was taken to the emergency room with stab wounds to her head, neck and back. Just later, she died.

Now, police are processing the car she arrived in, for any possible evidence. They're questioning Mr. Beard and other relatives for any information they may have related to how the injuries occurred.

NewsChannel 11 has learned the two were married in 2000. Family friend and former employer, Stephany Clarida, says Sharon always worked hard to take care of her four children. She was always friendly and compassionate. Clarida says Sharon was a beautiful person inside and out and she'll always remember her smile.
