Clothing/Jewelry Description: A pullover shirt, dark blue short pants, slip-on sandals, an antique thumb ring with a "W" and diamond earrings.

Details of Disappearance

Kent was last seen in Iberville, Louisiana on September 7, 2002. She met her sister that day, then went back to her ex-husband's home in Rosedale, Louisiana to celebrate the birthday of one of her children. Her ex-husband stated she left with an unknown individual. Kent has never been heard from again. After her disappearance, her van was found parked in her driveway with her identification inside, but there was no sign of her. Foul play is suspected in Kent's disappearance, but few details are available in her case.​

Nicole Griffin, Wendy's sister, said she has a feeling her sister is dead, but she will not rest until her body is found.Nicole Griffin said her sister Wendy Kent was 32 years old the last time she saw her. It was September 7, 2002.
"She gave me a hug and a kiss and told me to go home and wait for her, and she never came home," said Griffin.
Griffin said her sister who was going through a divorce and was headed back to her Rosedale home to celebrate one of her children's birthdays.
Iberville deputies found Wendy's van in the driveway with her identification inside, but they said there was no trace of Wendy.
"She would have never walked off and left her children," Griffin added.

I know LE would obviously look at the ex-husband in a case like this, but I also wonder if she could have been a victim of Derrick Todd Lee. Iberville Parish borders East Baton Rouge Parish and he was active all over the area.
Lee wasn't apprehended until May 2003. She seems like she'd fit his victim profile physically - brunette with high cheek bones.

Wendy Kent lived in Tennessee at one point in her life. I was in touch with her sister on social media a few years ago. We have mutual friends. She had attended David Crockett High School which is located in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Her husband, I'm told, was a Mayor (or possibly some other official) in Louisiana. I'm told that their seperation was rather ugly.
