Case File 1424UMLA
Reconstruction of Victim
Unidentified Black Male
Vital Statistics
Case History
The victim was located in an abandoned building at the C.J. Peete public housing complex ahead of a planned demolition.
Though the development had been fenced in and closed since before Hurricane Katrina hit in August 2005, people had apparently stayed there. Blankets, food and an ice chest also were found.
An examination of the skeletal remains showed no injuries, and the man probably died of natural causes.
