None of this makes any sense.

Namus now says white F estimated to be between 20-30 with an estimated PMI of five years putting death around 1991.

Of the above suggestions, have any been ruled out?

32 year old Debra Ann Allen (MP17209) who went missing from Kill Devil Hills in 1992? No comparisons have been made in this case. KDH is only 9 miles south of Southern Shores. The cranium was found sound side which could indicate her body was dumped off of Wright Bridge.

I believe Debra Allen’s purse was found near the Coinjock Marina, too. Looks like DNA is available in both cases, would these have been compared by default?

I don't show that Debra has been ruled out in this unidentified person case.

Rule Outs:

UP12683
UP2824
UP6150

I do think Debra Ann Allen should be submitted. She was last seen leaving her work, The Sea Ranch in Kill Devil Hills at 10pm on February 8th, 1992. She walked home from work, and her purse was found by a truck driver beside the road in front of the marina. Her boyfriend stated they had an argument and Debra left.

The skull in this UP case was found washed up on April 3rd, 1996 on the Currituck sound side near Southern Shores. Southern Shores is about 8.6 miles away from her last known location. Its plausible her body could have been thrown off the Wright Bridge.

I think this is strong enough evidence to submit to NamUs for comparison.

Emailed and left a voicemail with the regional program specialist. Should I stop by the KDH Police Department? I have some city admin matters to deal with and the police department is right next door so it wouldn't be out of my way to drop off copies of the two files.

Thank you! Please keep us updated.

I don't think it would hurt, although they may not give you any information. I'm really hoping we can bring closure to the family.

I'm not really looking for any more information. I was just thinking they would be less likely to dismiss a local who stops by the station than a random email or phone call from an unknown source.

Update: I contacted the regional program specialist. She said she would contact the appropriate agencies. I went ahead and stopped by KDH Police to make sure they received the information regarding the remains found in Southern Shores. I won't be sharing the details of my discussion with the investigator at this time but he found the information worth reviewing.

@Caring1 Hey could you post the current list of NamUs exclusions for this Jane Doe? I would greatly appreciate it.
