http://www.king5.com/news/local/oly...n-disappearance-of-thurston-co-teen/225233890Logan Schiendelman of Thurston County disappeared ten days ago. One unusual clue involves the 19-year-old's car.
"The phone was right here, leaning against the seat belt," said Ginnie Schiendelman, his grandmother, as she opened the door to his black Chrysler Sebring convertible. "His wallet was right there in the glove box."
His grandmother last saw him on the morning of May 20, 2016.
Ware says one day later, on May 20, Logan’s car turned up on Interstate 5, near mile marker 92. Witnesses said the driver pulled over onto the shoulder, ran into the woods, but the car was left in gear and drifted through three lanes of traffic.
Ware said witnesses were shown a picture of Schiendelman, but they claim the descriptions don’t match.
http://www.nbcnews.com/feature/miss...ce-washington-teen-logan-schiendelman-n599916Today is Logan Schiendelman's 20th birthday, but instead of celebrating, the teen's family and friends are out searching for any clue that could bring him home.
"You can sit there and work your mind all night long coming up with scenarios," Mike Ware, Logan's uncle, who is also a retired Thurston County sheriff's lieutenant, told Dateline. "The circumstances are rather unusual."
Part of a Thurston County hiking trail is closed after human remains were discovered on Friday.
The sheriff's office said a worker, installing signs along State Route 507, discovered the body of a man along the Yelm-Tenino trail near the Chehalis Western Trail intersection.
Investigators said it's unclear how long the body had been there.
Nearly eight months later, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is out of ideas, Sgt. Carla Carter said.
“All leads have been exhausted at this point,” Carter said. “The case remains open and active and any tip that we receive is thoroughly investigated.”
Despite the lack of new information, Schiendelman’s friends and family haven’t given up hope. They’ve put up countless fliers throughout Thurston County and followed up on leads on their own. They hope that the now 20-year-old is still out there alive and well, and that he’ll contact them someday.
I'm trying to think of what might be an "epiphany" that is too hard to explain. Anyone have any ideas? It would have to be a subject that is not black and white. It was something that would mean a great change in his life. Something defining about anyone's life is their race. And maybe "hard to explain" because he is biracial. Perhaps because his grandmother is white? His mother's FB page refers to black issues in the news... and is multiracial herself. The grandmother who raised him is white... and there are multiple pictures of him with white girls from school. Another "epiphany" could be sexuality. I can see this might be hard to talk to his grandmother about. His mother has a profile photo where she's supporting the LGBT community. His sister promoted trans gender awareness. HIs mother is an artist, and kinda new age... so maybe she taught them to have an open mind... I'm curious as to why Chole and Logan were not FB friends?? Lastly... anyone else notice the red head in LS's FB videos? Of course I'm just guessing at stuff.

Could this be Logan? If we make some allowances for the sketch not being a great likeness?
