On June 1, officers responded to the 14200 block of Madrigal Dr in Woodbridge to investigate a missing juvenile, that Naseem left his residence at 7:30 AM that morning and did not return home after school.

On June 2nd, additional information was received and it is determined that Naseem may be in need of assistance which qualifies him as being endangered.

I wish they would be more specific.

In need of assistance? Huh? What kind of assistance?

Does he need bus fare to get home?

    Is he developmentally disabled?

Does he need regular medicine, such as insulin?

Does he have a broken leg and is lying in a ditch somewhere?

Reporting only that he is "in need of assistance" tells us absolutely nothing.

The article doesn't even state whether he was actually in school that day.

They might not know yet. Probably have to find an administrator to open the school office on the weekend and go through the attendance records and then double check with teachers.

Last time we had a "needs addistance" report here, the girl was found hanging from a tree about a hundred yards behind the school. I'm just praying that's not the case here.

In our school district attendance is all digital. All anyone would need is someone to login to their school account and check it - even from home or from their phone if they're away from home. In cases like this, time is critical and this could be a lifesaving practice. Sure hope they find this boy soon.
