GUILTY UK - Sylvia, 69, & Peter Stuart (dec'd), 75, Weybread, Suffolk, 28 May 2016

The Mail article says they had lived at their home for 10 years, but if so, it looks as if they tried to sell it last year:

The listing gives details of the property. I think they may have been involved in dog breeding in the past as they have a seven dog kennel there. I don't think the police have mentioned any pets at the home currently.

That may be why they printed it - I don't recall that person's age being mentioned previously.

Though it could be a false correlation. The article below states that the arrestee is from Leicester (that could be wrong though), while I get the impression the other person lived locally to the couple:

Having had a nosy around Facebook I'm more than a little sure they live in Leicester.
Time will tell I'm sure xx

That last link said they lived next door.

As you say, time will tell.

This case is sad as I think of the saying "grow old with me, the best is yet to be"

Murdered line dancer, 75, had explosive rows with his family, say neighbours:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...and-police-continue-hunt-dead-man-s-wife.html

...Mr Stuart had bought his cottage along with a three-bedroom property next door for £250,000 from retired builder Alan Hall, 82.
He renovated the cottage for himself and his wife, while his daughter Christy and her partner Steve Paxman – who ran a dog-breeding business – moved into the three-bedroom house with their girl, now aged 11.

The neighbour said: ..
[Mr Stuart] was an arrogant b*****.’ He added: ‘What really put me off was the last time he came round before I sold the property. His wife Sylvia was little and feeble and just said something which offended him
‘He went absolutely berserk and I thought he was going to thump her. He was shouting, “it’s nothing to do with you” and was effing and blinding at her. I had to jump in between them so nothing happened. It was unbelievable. He lost his temper as quick as a flash.’

According to article the neighbour claims that the daughter and son in law (Steve Paxman) moved to Leicester, where Mrs Paxman got a job as an administrator at a secondary school last year.

Lots of info at the link above, Mr Stuart does not sound like a nice man at all...

It's quite unusual to hear anyone say something negative like that about a murder victim.
Interesting case. I can't quite work out what I think happened.

This has suddenly got very confusing.

I don't quite see how the man they're currently looking for fits in to the narrative. (BTW I guess he's likely to be a Bosnian? Apparently there's a Bosnian refugee community in Thurrock.) I can imagine a story around the SIL's involvement; the recent move to Leicester abandoning the kennels he'd spent 30K on seems to indicate a major issue of some kind arising (I'd probably better not speculate what that might have been); and then there could have been a more recent turning point leading to the murder. But it doesn't necessarily account for Mrs S being missing, and Ali Q is a new twist.
