A woman behind the wheel of a car that plummeted 200 feet off a Maui cliff, killing her twin sister in the passenger seat, was charged with second-degree murder, the Associated Press reported.

Alexandria Duval, aka Alison (or Allison in some reports) Dadow, intentionally set out to take the life of her sibling, Anastasia Duval, aka Ann Dadow, prosecutors assert after witnesses allegedly saw the 37-year-old women arguing, AP wrote. Witnesses say they then saw the Ford Explorer turn and accelerate off the cliff.

Sooo she was trying to take her own life too? If she was trying to kill her sister then she got really lucky she survived too. This is weird.

Sounds like a murder/suicide in which the suicide part failed. It's still murder, though. IMO.

EXCLUSIVE: Inside the twisted lives of 'terrible yoga twins' - high school loners who rarely dated, always showered naked together and racked up long criminal records while fighting like a married couple

Daily Mail Online has pieced together a complete picture of 37-year-old Ann and Alison Dadow

Alison was initially charged with murder of her twin after their car plunged 200 feet off a cliff in Hawaii

She was released on Wednesday after a judge ruled there was no probable cause to support a second-degree murder charge

The 'terrible twins' were brilliant high school loners and ROTC members

At just five years old, their mother died suddenly, leaving them and their older sister in the care of their prison doctor father

Their father would let his daughters use his Cadillac and charge thousands of dollars on his credit card to buy designer clothes for school

After the family moved to Florida, the Dadow sisters opened a yoga studio

They moved to Park City, Utah, where their lives were fraught with legal problems, including arrests for five separate incidents linked to alcohol

In Hawaii the sisters faced more problems, which culminated on May 29, when they were seen fighting in their white 2016 Ford Explorer

Sounds like something right out of a movie.

After reading a bunch of articles and witness statements from various States about these two sisters, I'm rather certain we haven't heard the last of this one sister who remains. She's now free as the judge dropped the charges finding no probable cause to warrant a 2nd degree murder charge, but first in order to leave the prison she had to pay up the outstanding traffic fines she already accumulated in the thousands. This is something the two obviously did often everyplace they went:

Hawaii woman accused of killing twin sister arrested for drunk driving

A woman from Hawaii who had been accused of killing her twin sister after their vehicle plunged off a Maui cliff was arrested in upstate New York on drunken driving charges.

Alexandria Duval, of Maui, was arrested Monday in the Village of Stamford in Delaware County, according to state police. She has family in upstate New York. Police said she was pulled over after almost striking a vehicle operated by a state police investigator.

The 37-year-old sisters were in a Ford Explorer traveling on Hana Highway in May when they crashed into a rock wall, plunging about 200 feet onto a rocky shoreline during what was described as a hair-pulling fight over the steering wheel.

Her blood alcohol content was 0.26, more than three times the legal limit, police said. Information on her lawyer wasn’t immediately available. She was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail after her arraignment in Stamford.

Anastasia Duval was killed and Alexandria was arrested and jailed on a second-degree murder charge, accused of deliberately causing her sister’s death. A judge later ordered Alexandria’s release after determining there was no probable cause for a murder charge.

The judge had said that prosecutors did not present enough evidence to support the charge of intentional murder, reports Hawaii News Now.

The twins ran two popular Twin Power studios in Palm Beach County, Florida, from 2008 to 2014 before they changed their names from Alison and Ann Dadow.
Prosecutors in Hawaii said they planned to see what other evidence they could find to further their investigation.

Alexandria Duval is due in court in Stamford on Aug. 23.

The twins had recently moved to Hawaii after spending time in Utah, and before that Florida, where they owned a yoga studio in well-to-do Palm Beach Gardens.

The evil twin?

Her temperament is very scary.

I wonder why her attorney refers to her as Alison when she changed her name?
