The remains of numerous women have been found in Leduc County since 2002. Last August, police said the close proximity of some of these remains suggest police may be dealing with a serial predator.
Poitras said there is no indication at this time that the recent discovery is related to the other remains found nearby

On Saturday, Sgt. Jack Poitras said RCMP were alerted to the remains after a call from a resident... However, Poitras would not comment on how many were recovered...
He could not comment on whether the bones sustained damage.
Poitras said there is no indication of when the remains may have been left there, but he said police do not believe the incident is recent.
