Updated 8:41 AM

'Neighbour Debbie Moke told ABC News she was woken at 2am by police who said there had been a "bad case of assault".

She said the man being questioned lived at the property.

"He just comes and goes, he doesn't have much to do with the cul-de-sac," she said.

"It's just sad, it's a really, really bad situation to be in."'

BBM.

Sad that it seems from the yahoo.com article that the neighbours arranging the funeral and the emergency services who were completely heartbroken by what they saw are more devastated by Mason's death than his own family.

Just my opinion/observation.

(ETA I don't necessarily include his mother in that, seems she was uninvolved)

Nothing on Mason's postmortem results yet. I suppose we'll know the outcome when someone is brought in for (another round of?) questioning.

Police say Caboolture toddler Mason Lee may have been injured for a week before death
Emma Williams
Caboolture Shire Herald
July 4, 2016 11:29am

'POLICE have described injuries of Mason Lee as horrific and said he may have been sick or injured for up to a week before his death.

Detective Acting Inspector Ben Fadian today provided the results of a post mortem for the suspicious death of a 21-month-old boy at a Caboolture South home last month.'

'Insp Fadian said the injuries were “horrific” and unlikely to be a result of an accident.

“He had injuries from head to toe that were clearly visible,” he said.

Insp Fadian said police had interviewed up to 40 people in relation to the toddler’s tragic death.'

'“There is evidence that the start of this year he (Mason) may have started to sustain injuries,” Insp Fadian said.'
