TX - Hostage situation in Amarillo Walmart, reports of shots fired

Ive noticed a trend lately and I cant say I am disappointed in the trend. Whenever LE is faced with an active shooter the shooter is not coming out alive lately.

They really do not have much recourse other than to take them down with all the force necessary to do so. It protects other innocent lives and there is the added advantage of not having a lengthy trial for attempted murder or murder. When someone starts threatening people with a gun they better be prepared to not come out of it alive.

Kudos to LE.

My bold. Of course it is.

i think its best to judge each case on its individual merits, in this case the police were given information by witnesses at the scene that told them this was a workplace related thing.

and we now know that is exactly what it was, disgruntled ex-employee had a grudge with a manager and returned to the store and took that manager hostage.

Yeah okay.
