    IN - Krista Perdue, 42, Lafayette, 19 June 2016

Tippecanoe Co. deputies search for missing teacher

Krista Perdue fell ill Sunday, and when her husband, Samuel Perdue, checked on her Monday morning, she was gone from their east side home.
"She was sick all day yesterday, and she stayed in bed all day yesterday," Samuel Perdue said, explaining she has an indigestion problem that sometimes makes her ill. "I slept in the other room, and I got up this morning, and I kind of piddled around, and I thought I'd go check on her.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

A little more info. This is such a strange case.

The couple and their daughter just returned from vacation Saturday and had a great time together, he said.
"The deadbolt was undone, but it looked like she had locked the door handle back when she pulled it," he said. "That is the only sign. ... Her keys are here. That's why she couldn't lock the deadbolt back."

Interesting comments on local news channel's story on the missing teacher. I guess I missed the info in other articles, but apparently her husband is a teacher too.

Direct link to the article on FB. I learned the hard way that news stations post a ton on FB and in a few days or less, to find the story again, you have to scroll and scroll.

I don't like where my thoughts are going here.
She's missing, so that either means: she left of her own free will; the husband did something to her; someone else came into the house and did something to her.

Are there any other scenarios I left out?

Hinky-meter activated. He waited until 10:45 to call police?

    Alien abduction- that's about it.

Sigh. I hate to go there...but yeah, leaves the home, takes nothing with her, husband waits to report her...this won't end well. Suicide is a possibility too though.

You beat me to that suggestion!

Seriously, it isn't known whether she was still sick or feeling better after hopefully a good night's sleep and went missing.

Kittybunny, it is odd right? New article: http://www.jconline.com/story/news/2...sued/86171286/

"The couple, who have been married 16 years, and their daughter just returned from vacation Saturday and had a great time together, he said"

Edit to add another news report where her next door neighbor, a friend, “spoke” to her Sat. evening.
    http://wlfi.com/2016/06/21/search-st...g-tsc-teacher/

“last time Milligan talked to Perdue was Saturday night when she says Perdue texted her saying she returned home from a nice vacation with her family. Milligan said the last thing Perdue said was “See you soon.”

Texted only to say they returned? Hoping they will find her but is anyone else looking through a S. Powell filter at this?

Argh, in the comments to one of the news articles, someone writes that maybe it was the Zika virus. Good grief.

I love the rules at WS but sometimes, the victim friendly approach makes it tough to discuss cases like this one.

IMO, he did not do himself any favors doing this interview.
