This was posted on my site a few days ago, I thought I would pass it along to see if anyone has information, and for support for their family and friends....

10 years ago some of my friends went missing. This video is an attempt to spawn new information, and let people know that they are still cared about. Please take a look and pass along the link if possible. Any help is appreciated. My heart is with all who have lost someone they care about.

The Lost Boys

Information from The Doe Network and NCMEC

Jay Alexander Boyle
Michael Richard James Cummins
Daniel Mark Higgins
Jamie Lefebvre
Robbie Rumboldt
Chad Smith

Circumstances of Disappearance
Jay Boyle, Michael Cummins, Daniel Higgins and Chad Smith, Robbie Rumboldt and Jamie Lefebvre, were last seen walking together towards the Eastshore Marina in Pickering on March 17, 1995.

Witnesses and evidence suggest that after some spring break partying and drinking, the teenage boys went down to the beach looking for adventure. Once there, they may have stolen a four-metre imitation Boston Whaler motorboat and a three-wheeled paddle boat from separate marinas on Frenchman's Bay. Then, it's believed, they headed out for a joyride on the cold, icy waters of the lake without lifejackets. Before they left at around 12:50 a.m. on Friday, the boys told a friend they were going to "goof around" on a boat.

At 1:48 a.m., a surveillance camera caught three of the boys - Michael, Jamie and Robbie - entering East Shore Marina.

Between 2:30 and 3 a.m., some marina residents heard a motor boat out on the lake. The next morning, two boats were reported stolen from two marinas.
The police believe the boats capsized and hypothermia gripped the boys within minutes. The boys were first reported missing by worried girlfriends on Friday, but police did not treat their concerns seriously until Saturday afternoon, when they connected the boys to the missing boats.

By 2 p.m. Saturday - 36 hours after the boys were last seen - a massive search was underway.Durham police were joined by the Toronto police marine unit, the Coast Guard, Hercules C-130 aircraft and a helicopter from the air-sea rescue unit at Canadian Forces Base Trenton. They found nothing. Thousands of volunteers from across southern Ontario then joined the hunt. But no bodies. No boats. No pieces of clothing. The only item found on the lake was a gas can belonging to the 4-metre Boston Whaler.

I remember this story, I lived in Scarborough at the time which is just west of Pickering where these boys disappeared (presumed drowned)

Here is some more information in the circumstances

I would think they would have found something. 2 boats and 6 boys, I'd think they'd at least find one of the boys, how strange IMO. Although I'm not too familiar w/boat dissapearances. Either way that video was very touching, so sad. Alcohol is always dangerous in that type of situation :-(
I hope one day theyre found.

Family marks 19th anniversary of Pickering's 'Lost Boys' case, point to possible new clue

Please see the article below:

There is an online petition to request DNA testing of a body that was found in 1998, that the family recently became aware of. Apparently, the body was wearing red Levis jeans. One of the missing boys, Jay Boyle, was wearing red Levi jeans when he disappeared and the families request for DNA testing was denied:

Thank you for signing alreetlike and everyone else!! So far the petition is at 630 signatures. It was at less than 50 when I signed last night and around 100 or so when I went to bed.

Please keep sharing and signing, websleuths! We have a real opportunity to make a difference here.

It makes no sense not to. From the newspaper article:

After speaking with a psychic, the family decided to search the OPP’s missing persons page.
They found a picture of unidentified remains that were recovered near the Niagara River in 1998. The image showed a pair of red Levi jeans clinging to the bones of a tall young man.
Boyle’s family believe those are Jay’s remains, pointing to the last picture ever taken of him the night he went missing where he is seen wearing red Levi jeans.
“I think it’s my brother; I just have a gut feeling that it is,” said Ashley Boyle.
“He is wearing, in this picture it’s not the greatest, but he is wearing a pair of red Levi jeans ,” said Amanda.
There was also a second set of remains found in the Niagara River in 1998 that matched the description of two of the other boys who went missing that night.
For the Boyle family, this was the first tangible evidence explaining what may have happened to the boys.
In the last three months, Amanda and her sisters have repeatedly asked Niagara Regional Police for a DNA test on the remains.
They say police have denied their request.

I checked out what I think is the site they are referring to: http://www.missing-u.ca/Default.aspx WARNING- GRAPHIC IMAGES

So sad, so many unclaimed missing people. You'd think reuniting them with their loved ones would be more of a priority. If cost is a factor, I'm sure there would be no problem raising the money.

Today is the 19th anniversary of the day the 6 Pickering Lost Boys went missing.

http://www.mysteriesofcanada.com/Ontario/lost_boys_of_pickering.htm

Their names are:

Jay Boyle, 17, and his friends Chad Smith, 18, Robbie Rumboldt, 17, Jamie Lefebvre, 17, Michael Cummins, 17 and Danny Higgins, 16

A current new article has revealed a possible new clue, at long last:

An article from last year, marking the 18th anniversary at that time:

Please help the families find some answers and sign the petition below requesting DNA testing on the bodies of 2 males discovered in the Niagara Region back in 1998! One of them was wearing the same type of matching red Levi jeans as one of the missing boys, Jay Boyle. We have a chance to make a difference.
