Murder suspect Thomas Robinson attempted to take a Cincinnati police officers firearm in an interview room at the police station, and video surveillance of the incident has been released.

I am surprised the officer had a gun in the interview room. I thought they kept weapons out of those close confined spaces, for just that reason.

As officers work to restrain him, you can hear Robinson yell “Kill Me” six times during the battle for the gun.

Just asked my retired cop friend. He said that the detectives never take their weapons into the interview room. But when the officers escort the suspects in and out of the room , they usually have their weapons on them.

Exactly, it's policy here to put them in a gun locker when they enter the secure facility.
