"We tracked him with some of the neighbors in the community," Lt. Blevins said. "Showing them pictures of him, and they've actually identified him."
But beyond that, no other major clues.
"For days we've stayed up here walking every street and knocking on every door that we could," said Snyder. She says she's been to that location about 20 times, often leaving the scene expecting the worst. "I just don't think we're gonna find him alive."
Alive or not, the family says they just want some closure, and if possible, Abbott's daughters would like one thing more inside of their home
"I hope that he's found and brought back home," said Mikkala Swaney, another one of Abbott's step-daughters. "I just want my dad back."
Abbott mostly stayed with Snyder and her family, but he had his own apartment in Ft. Oglethorpe, which is why that police department is investigating the case.
