    AZ - William, 57, & Ronald Swango, 27, & 2 kids, Mount Lemmon, 26 June 2016

    The sheriff's department is looking for a family of four that has gone missing while on a hike on Mount Lemmon on Sunday.

    Officials identified the family as William Swango, 57; Ronald Swango, 27; Riley Nash 6; and Layla Nash, 4.

    A woman contacted authorities and said her father and brother took her two young daughters for a hike along the Butterfly Trail on Sunday. All four family members were expected to return by Sunday evening.

    Authorities have found the family's vehicle on Mount Lemmon.

    A woman contacted the U.S. Forest Service and reported saying her father and brother took her two young daughters for a hike along the Butterfly Trail on Sunday.
    They were last seen at about 10 a.m. Sunday and have not been seen or heard from since. All four family members were supposed to return Sunday night.

    I hope they are found safe. One of the little girls is said to be wearing a dress. Not typical hiking attire and I hope it does not get cold at night on the mountain.

    The sheriff's department said it has contacted a family of four that went missing while on a hike on Mount Lemmon on Sunday and they appear to be safe.

    Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, a spokeswoman with the Pima County Sheriff's Department, said searchers have spoken on the phone with one of the hikers.
