MI - Nicole Vollmer Summers, 40, Birmingham, November 2015Birmingham Police Department Press Release:
Nicole Vollmer Summers, white female, 5'8", 135 lbs, brown hair, age 40 has been missing since November 2015. Summers was last seen at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. If you have any information on her whereabouts, please contact Commander Busen at 248 530-1764.Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Other than the initial Birmingham, MI, police's fb page post of her missing, posted 6 months after she was last seen, and this linked in profile, I can find NO INFORMATION about this woman, her family, a search for her ... nada!
There are no media stories of any kind that I can locate. This was a professional woman, a pharmaceutical rep, who was last seen at a hospital doing her job (I suppose). It is as if she has fallen off the planet and no one cares.
This I find quite upsetting. I may go on to contact LE and her local media and find out why no one seems to care.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

There is very little (virtually no) follow up on Nicole. She has been added to NamUs, however (so it's highly likely she's still missing). Dental records and fingerprints are on file already, so that's a positive
ETA: I too get frustrated when there is an apparent lack of interest in a missing person case. Sometimes I just don't 'get it.' However, I'd be remiss if I didn't add that very often (from my experience), a lack of media and/or public appeals does not mean the case has been forgotten. LE is often working hard, exploring leads, etc...they're just doing it behind the scenes.

I check back from time to time for updates. But you have the facts wrong. She was never really a sales rep. Last seen in hospital for being there on a psych hold. I do care but I doubt her family does, with good reason.
