LA - McKinley Jones, 37, New Orleans, 8 July 2016

Foul play suspected in case of 7th Ward man missing since Friday: NOPD

Earlier Monday evening, police reported that Jones was last seen by his wife at his home in the 2100 block of North Rocheblave Street. Jones's wife told police that her husband had left his home to go cut hair for clients.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

North Rocheblave is not in the French Quarter which is full of surveillance video cameras. You can bet this man has met with foul play. NOLA is jammed full of really bad actors who will kill you for the change in your pockets. But, the Mayor is much more concerned about raising taxes on the producers of the city, removing statues of Confederate Army Generals and buying solar powered trash cans for the Quarter than stemming the crime that consumes the city. The priorities are very mixed up and people are being murdered daily while the City Council and Mayor's office worry about things that happened 150 years ago. Typical democratic rudderless ship of fools eating at fancy restaurants while the citizens get slaughtered and the overflowing trash cans need service.

    They make me sick.

Wow. I can't believe the mayor said he is more concerned about raising taxes, removing statues and buying solar-powered trash cans than about crime. Why would he say something so stupid?

Not found anything published later than this

Police have said they suspect foul play in the disappearance of Jones, who was last seen at about 9:30 p.m. July 8 in the 700 block of St. Louis Street.

On July 21, NOPD named Smith a person of interest in the investigation. Police said Smith might know the whereabouts of Jones but was not considered a suspect in the case.

A service for Jones was held inside the Resurrection Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, which was the anniversary of the last day he was seen. The family said detectives have presumed Jones was killed, but so far has not been able to find his body.
