Clarksville Police Seek Help In Finding Missing 19-Year-Old

Officials with Clarksville Police said DeAndre Marquis Palmer, of Clarksville, was last seen Saturday in Oak Grove, Kentucky. Authorities said he hasn't made contact with family members or friends since then.

A family gathered outside a hotel in Clarksville when they were supposed to be heading to a family reunion in Virginia Beach. Instead, they were passing out flyers, searching, and praying for their missing loved one.

An arrest warrant was issued for Deqavion M. James, and 18-year-old from Oak Grove, Kentucky. James is facing charges of Murder, Robbery in the First Degree and Tampering with Evidence.

Prosecutors: Missing teen fatally shot while trying to buy a gun - August

Prosecutors laid out the details they said led to the death of a teen and the lengths two young men went to cover it up.

Deqavion James and Leonardo Miller are accused of murder, robbery and tampering with evidence in the death of DeAndre Palmer.

The prosecution said Miller told police that Palmer was at his Oak Grove apartment to buy a gun. James was also there, but something went wrong.

Mr. Miller stated that Mr. Deqavion James was the one that had shot him, said Det. Scott Smith with Kentucky State Police.

Police said Palmer was shot twice in the torso and $150 was taken from him. The two men then worked to get rid of the body.

Investigators said Palmers body was wrapped in a blanket and two trash bags were placed over his head down to his shoulders. Trash bags were also placed over his legs and feet.

New Counsel Prompts Delay in Carter Road Murder Case - November

The two men accused in the July murder of a Clarksville teenager will be back in court in January. Deqavion James and Leonardo Miller appeared before Christian Circuit Judge John Atkins Wednesday for the purpose of setting a trial date in the case. Millers attorney, Margot Merrill, in requesting an continuance in the case, stated new co-counsel, Robin Irwin, needs additional time to get up to speed.

It will be nearly a year before a 2016 Oak Grove murder goes to trial. Deqavion James and Leonardo Miller appeared in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning on charges for the death of 19-year old DeAndre Palmer.

Judge John Atkins set a trial date of January 16 and marked off two weeks for the case.
