Police Who Fled From Times Square With Suspicious Device Hailed as Heroes

Two New York Police Department officers are being hailed as heroes after a hoax bomb device was thrown at their vehicle in Times Square late Wednesday night. The officer and sergeant - who at the time did not know if the device was a hoax - held onto it and immediately sped away from the packed tourist area.

Wtf is going on people? If I was a cop I'd probably toss my badge in the nearest dumpster at this point. So many haters.
My thanks to these 2 officers for being ready and willing to give the ultimate sacrifice.

So the thread title only showed "Police Who Fled From Times Square With Suspicious Device" and before I clicked on it I had a totally different idea about what happened! Two cops running on foot through Times Square with no one knowing what they were doing - only that they were holding a "suspicious device." Crazy!

But then I clicked and it's even crazier than what I imagined. Also very scary. Great job and quick thinking!!
