Clay County dispatchers tell us police are closing in on Tim Lawson, a man who has been on the run for days.

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - According to Clay County Sheriff Kevin Johnson, Tim Lawson has committed multiple crimes since last Thursday. Sheriff Johnson says the crimes have happened in Leslie, Perry, Clay and Owsley Counties.

Sheriff Johnson says the search started about three weeks ago after Lawson violated probation and missed drug court. But the search has intensified since last Thursday.

"Since that time he's just, he's just, he's went mad," Sheriff Johnson said.

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) - The search for an armed and dangerous man suspected of at least a dozen crimes in four counties over the last week has intensified.

Tim Lawson is suspected in at least two armed robberies, two home invasions, three carjackings, and seven cars stolen in all so far.
