5-year-old on vacation in N.C. dies after being struck by lightning
Authorities say a 5-year-old boy on vacation with his family died after being struck by lightning on a North Carolina beach.
According to WTVD-TV, authorities say the family was on the beach Sunday in Carova at about 4 p.m. when the child was struck.
JUST HORRIBLE (my thoughts)
The family put the boy in their SUV and met EMS partway. He was then taken to a hospital where he died.

How horrible!! Chills ran through me as I read this. This is as shocking as the little boy at Disney World.
May his family be wrapped in the arms of their religion

Lightning kills North Carolina boy
The boy was with his family when he was struck about 4:10 p.m. The family put the boy in their car and met emergency crews halfway, where he was transported to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital and died a short time later.
The boy's family, on vacation at Carova Beach on the Outer Banks, when the storm rolled in. They were reportedly taking shelter when lightning struck.

5-YEAR-OLD FROM DELCO KILLED BY LIGHTNING ON N.C. BEACH
A 5-year-old boy from Lansdowne, Delaware County died after he was struck by lightning Sunday on the beach in Carova, North Carolina.
Stephen Little was on vacation with his family in the Outer Banks.
The family was trying to get out of the storm and into their SUV when the boy was stuck while standing next to the vehicle.
