Authorities seek missing woman in Oxford Twp.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department seeks the public’s help in locating a woman who went missing from an Oxford Township group home Saturday morning.

Theresa Adams, who is diagnosed with a schizo affective disorder, was last seen at about 9:20 am. at the Deerwood Manor group home, located at 1095 Hummer Lake Road...

Adams, 63, is white, with auburn or strawberry blonde hair and hazel eyes. She is about five feet three inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a light blue jacket and gray running pants...

Adams does not own or carry a cellular phone or have any family in the state. She has walked away from the group home int he past and has been located walking on roadways within several hours of going missing, according to the release.

Adams previously has been located in Brandon and Orion townships. She is easily lost and disoriented when she is in unfamiliar areas, and also needs medication for her condition that is provided to her at the group home.

Missing Oakland County Woman Found Dead In Woods

OXFORD TWP. (WWJ) – An Oxford Township woman who had been missing from a group home for nearly two weeks has been found dead.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says a body of person matching the description of 63-year-old Theresa Adams was discovered by deputies, late Thursday morning, in a wooded area near Hummer Lake and Metamora roads in Oxford.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday to make a positive identification and determine the cause of death...

Officials believe a body found Thursday morning in a wooded area in Oxford Township is that of a 63-year-old woman reported missing earlier this month.
