Boyfriend of missing Eugene woman arrested, search for her intensifies
The boyfriend of a missing Eugene woman has been arrested on charges that are unrelated to her disappearance, as violent crimes detectives from the Eugene Police Department intensify the search to find her.

Cheryl Elizabeth Hart, 35, was reported missing Aug. 4 after family members were unable to reach her and became concerned. According to Eugene police, Hart was last seen that day with her longtime boyfriend, Jeremy Kent Milutin, 36, of St. Helens.

Perhaps I'm wrong but it sure seems like "here we go again".... :(

Would love to hear she's been found safe and sound....but finding it doubtful.

Family organizing search party for missing woman Cheryl Hart; boyfriend named “person of interest”
Cheryl Hart’s family is holding out hope that the 35-year-old mother of three will be found safe, as friends and family work to organize a search party to *locate the missing woman.

McGuire said Hart, of St. Helens, had been on a trip to Nevada and California before stopping at a friend’s house in Eugene. It was not immediately clear whether Milutin was with her for the entire trip. Milutin is also from St. Helens, which is north and slightly west of Portland along the Columbia River.

Surveillance video captured at a Eugene store at 7 a.m. Aug. 5 shows Milutin by himself. While police have declined to reveal where Milutin was shopping or what he purchased, one video image appears to show him buying a white plastic bottle with a blue lid, similar to the packaging for a bottle of Clorox bleach.

Ugh, now his fb is deleted and all the "interesting" comments are scrubbed. Annoyed!

Still missing (another woman was found, hence the title): http://registerguard.com/rg/news/local/34747720-75/missing-eugene-woman-found.html.csp
Days earlier, Cheryl Elizabeth Hart, 35, of St. Helens was reported missing after her family told police they hadn’t been able to reach her since Aug. 4. Hart had been on a road trip with her boyfriend, Jeremy Kent Milutin, when the couple stopped in Eugene to visit friends, police said.

Milutin, 36, of St. Helens, was seen alone Aug. 5 at a grocery store in Eugene at 7 a.m., as captured on surveillance video. He was then seen in Klamath Falls around noon that day at a gas station, before he was arrested back in Eugene at 10 p.m., Eugene police have said.

Milutin is being held on charges related to the allegedly stolen car he was driving and warrants from previous arrests. Hart has not been found.

During the investigation, detectives learned she was last seen in West Eugene on August 4, with her longtime boyfriend, Jeremy Kent Milutin, 36.
Milutin was reportedly seen alone in a Eugene store at around 7 a.m. on August 5. They said he was driving a vehicle reported stolen from Columbia County on July 26. The car is described as a blue, 4-door 1994 Buick Century with Oregon license plate 635-ADX.

Milutin was reportedly seen at about 12 p.m. on August 5, 2016 in a store in Klamath Falls and back in Eugene at about 10 p.m.

Eugene Police arrested Milutin after he attempted to flee. He was booked into the Lane County Jail.

Detectives learned Milutin was alone in a Eugene store at approximately 7 a.m. on Aug. 5. He arrived and departed in a vehicle that was stolen in Columbia County on July 26. The car was a blue, 4-door, 1994 Buick Century, with Oregon license plate 635-ADX.
Detectives have not been able to verify an earlier report that Hart and Milutin were seen in Walton, Ore. on the morning of Aug. 5. Around noon on Aug. 5, Milutin was again seen alone in a store in Klamath Falls, Ore.
At 10 p.m. on Friday, Milutin was back in Eugene and apparently alone. Eugene Police patrol officers saw the vehicle he was driving and determined it was stolen.

SNIPPED

Detectives believe Milutin’s most likely route of travel to Klamath Falls was via highways 58 and 97, but alternate routes cannot be ruled out at this time. Detectives believe he is somewhat familiar with this route since he and Hart camped along Highway 97 in late July, but the location(s) of those campsites is unknown.
According to a family Go-Fund-Me page, Hart left her home in the Warren area on July 31 for a road trip with Milutin, saying she would be back in a few days. She contacted her children every day, but the family didn’t hear from her after Aug. 4.

The search for the remains of a missing Saint Helens woman has been narrowed to the Chiloquin area as investigators ask residents to come forward with any information.

Cheryl Hart has been missing since Aug. 4 and private investigator Jaymie Frederick said the woman’s family has reason to believe she is no longer living.

In a statement Tuesday, Frederick said Hart last called her children the day she disappeared and would not have gone this long without contacting them if she were still alive.

Frederick said, following Hart’s disappearance, Milutin was seen Aug. 5 in Eugene alone with a stolen vehicle, then that afternoon was seen alone with a stolen vehicle in Klamath Falls, then seen that night alone in Eugene and was arrested for vehicle theft.

The search for Hart’s remains has been concentrated on portions of the Fremont-Winema National Forest near Sprague River Road and Lone Pine Road but has also extended into Klamath Falls. Frederick said it is likely Hart’s body was disposed of hastily in a shallow grave or with some kind of improvised covering, or possibly in a nearby body of water.

Milutin initially was charged with driving with a suspended license, but he was indicted Monday on additional charges of unauthorized use of a *motor vehicle, third-*degree escape, interfering with a police officer and attempting to elude a police officer by vehicle.

Police have said they believe Milutin is familiar with the area between Eugene and Klamath Falls because he and Hart had gone camping along Highway 97 in July. Detectives believe Milutin probably traveled to Klamath Falls on Aug. 5 via Highways 58 and 97.

But Hart’s family is still unsure where to look, Hopkins said, adding that someone reported to the family that they thought they saw Hart in Longview, Wash. Family members traveled north to look but came up empty-handed. Hopkins said she suspects it’s more likely that Hart is somewhere between Eugene and Klamath Falls.
