Genevieve Genny Kathryn Alexander
Mendocino County Sheriff's Office Case # 13-19542
Date of birth: 15 December 1982
Place of birth: San Mateo County, CA
Education: Graduated Woodside High School 2001
Appearance: White female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 110-115 pounds, curly brown shoulder-length hair, blue eyes.
Apparel: Last seen wearing dark pants, dark sneakers, and a maroon fleece jacket.
At about 3:30 PM on 4 April 2013, Genny walked away from home. She lived with her boyfriend in the Pomo RV Camp and Campground south of Fort Bragg. Her boyfriend called her in missing at either 8:30 PM or 10:30 PM to the MCSO (sources vary). She was believed to be delusional. I found a website she subscribed to that may give insight into her state of mind. http://www.starseeds.net/profile/GenevieveKathrynAlexander
Sheriff's deputies, the Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team, and U.S. Coast Guard personnel searched for her. She was known to like to walk in the nearby vicinity of Belinda Point, along Sunset Way, Schoefer Lane, and Pacific Way, so the search began there. The immediate search turned up no signs of her before pausing for darkness.
Search resumed at 9 AM the next morning. A Coast Guard boat and helicopter joined the effort. The searchers were tipped off that a person appearing to be Genny trespassed on property next to the Botanical Gardens at 4 PM the day before. A bloodhound was brought in by the Sheriff's Office; it trailed Genny off the bluffs and down to a beach. There they found her pants floating in the ocean. Water temperature at the time was 54 degrees. With no further clothing recovered, the search was terminated at 5 PM.
Genny's relatives and friends seem to have accepted her death. However, the MCSO website still carries this case as a missing person. Information concerning this case may be called in to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office Tipline at 707-234-2100. Their Investigative Services Bureau may be emailed at barneys@co.mendocino.ca.us.The Sheriff's Office can also be reached at 951 Low Gap Road, Ukiah,CA 95482.
There has been a WS attempt to link Genny to unidentified remains at http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...0-30-60-Coach-Williams-on-jacket-Jan-14/page5. Needless to say, the match is extremely unlikely.
