    Well said DVJustice. The media reports on this about "botched" and "survived the execution" are clearly misleading and intentionally so. The prison staff couldn't get an IV started so they proceeded no further. That's not botched. I understand a lot of people are against the death penalty and it seems many in the news media are. However, if a reporter can't accurately report the facts without injecting personal bias, than he or she should stick to writing opinion pieces, not news articles.

    New of another inmate:

    The failed execution of Alva Campbell, a 69-year-old inmate with health problems, was the third time in seven decades that a death row inmate in the United States has survived the initial attempt to take his life and the second time in recent years that it has happened in Ohio.

    “Attempts by the medical team this morning to gain intravenous access were unsuccessful."

    A warrant of reprieve issued said the state would try to execute Mr. Campbell again on June 5, 2019.
