    FL - Olivia Diggs, 32, found dismembered, Orlando, 19 August 2016

    Florida Fish and Wildlife found a human body part around 11 a.m., police reported Monday. On Tuesday, they announced there were "additional dismembered body parts" recovered along the shoreline of the lake, police said.

    The crime scene stretched across the southern shoreline from the boat ramp to the west edge of the lake, according to police.

    The victim died as a result of a homicide, police said.

    While the person has not been identified, police believe the body was that of a black woman in her early 30s between 5'7'' to 5'10'' tall and weighing more than 200 pounds. She was wearing a green tank top.

    Police said the location is near Lake Underhill Road and Palmer Street, just south of State Road 408 and Orlando Executive Airport.

    "The medical examiner's office said it has completed its autopsy of the dismembered body, which was found Monday in the lake by a Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission worker. The office said Orlando police have requested it withhold its findings."

    "Police suspect that the body was dumped late Sunday or early Monday."

    Rest in Peace, Olivia. Prayers to your kids and their futures.

    Olivia Renee Diggs was trying to turn her life around.

    The mother of three was on disability and bounced from homeless shelter to homeless shelter trying to keep a roof over her children's heads.

    But friends say she recently had become a devout Christian and started down a new path she felt made her stronger in her fight against past drug addictions.

    <snip>

    DeShazo also said she worried about Diggs becoming depressed because it was hard for her to find a stable home. She also feared she might be hanging out with the wrong people

    "I remember warning her last time we talked, but she said 'you don't worry about me girl, I know how to handle my businesses. I'll be good,'" DeShazo said. "...You meet a lot of bad people in those places, but I know she felt safe at the church shelter."

    According to just-released documents, a Crimeline tip from a jail inmate is giving Orlando police a better understanding of the events that led up to the gruesome murder and dismemberment of a local mother of three.

    Rafael Gonzalez, 46, is in the Orange County jail on charges he murdered Olivia Diggs, 32, in August...

    Gonzalez met Diggs on a Lynx bus on Aug. 19, the day authorities believe she died.
