FWIW Aaron has at least two arrests dating back to 1996 that include assault and armed robbery, as well as marijuana offenses. Although it appears that he could be a victim in this particular situation, this wasn't his first rodeo. I wonder if he realized how dangerous it is in Humboldt, even for people not involved in marijuana.

Pennsylvania 1996
UPPER PROVIDENCE Charges of aggravated assault, burglary, robbery and other offenses were upheld Wednesday at a preliminary hearing for xxxxxxxxxxxxx, of the first block of Perkiomen Avenue, Spring Mount. He was accused of participating in the beating and robbery of a 73-year-old man in his Black Rock home in November.

One man, Aaron Kaloustian, 23, previously was charged in the incident. He is in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, awaiting trial in county court.
Knickerbocker was arrested June 18 and also charged with theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and conspiracy. He was arraigned before District Justice Walter F. Gadzicki and released after signing a bail pledge for $20,000.
After the hearing Wednesday before Gadzicki, he was released to await action in county court.
Police gave this account of the incident: On the morning of Nov. 4, two men wearing ski masks and gloves entered an unlocked house on Black Rock Road. They demanded money from the resident, and when he refused, he was punched in the face and beaten on his arm and leg with a baseball bat. He then was robbed.
The man was not seriously injured, police said.

Police said Kaloustian initially was stopped for driving 70 mph on West Street. A baggie with 115 grams of marijuana, a scale and baggies were found, police said.
Kaloustian initially was held in lieu of $50,000 bail and was scheduled to be presented in court Monday.
Kaloustian is out on parole for an armed robbery in Pennsylvania, police said.

Unidentified remains found:
Sgt. Ken Swithenbank of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that human remains had been found near a transient camp north of Redway today.
...
Though Swithenbank said that the remains were “not recent.” They had been there “a significant length of time,” he explained.

What a twisted series of events. I always wish people will be okay, but I have a lot of trouble feeling sorry for anyone who is a <modsnip> or is involved in the drug trafficking industry, in this case it's both. These are my own, personal opinions.

Can't find anything more on Aaron, or anything on the above remains. Any more experienced sleuthers out there want to give it a shot?

Any updates?

He was NOT listed in a recent article about the missing in Humboldt County: https://www.northcoastjournal.com/humboldt/the-humboldt-35/Content?oid=7775161

Also is not listed on the AG's website: https://oag.ca.gov/missing/search

For some reason Kym Kemp’s article listed him, but only referencing her original article, not any other sites. Perhaps he’s still listed as missing by Humboldt County?

He was found deceased. No MSM, but his daughter posted November 2016.
