A desperate mother's plea for the help in finding missing son

Shelly Miguel says it's been 84 excruciating days without her only child, Johnathan Fraser, who was last seen on July 30th in the Hawaii Kai area.

Miguel says she suspects foul play.

"I think that someone has something to do with my son's disappearance…only because kids don't fall off the face of the earth, Chelsea. My son is loved, very well loved. He would never leave us. He would never leave me," Miguel said through tears.

Thank you for bringing this one back up to the top los2188. There are few details out there (well that I could find.) Although I seen that his partner was four months pregnant. How sad :( Seemed like things were really on the up after the car accident.

Fraser was the driver of a MVA whose passenger, Caleb Miske, died at the scene. I would follow up on Miske's friends and family (there is some anger management issues there).

Welcome to Websleuths, mamboking (love the name :)).

I just did a cursory search to find out more about the car accident and was able to find quite a bit of information. In fact, one article reads “Jonathan Fraser was recently named in a lawsuit involving a deadly car crash that killed a local businessman’s son.” The article was published on May 29, 2018:

“In an interview with Civil Beat, Special Agent Arnold Laanui stopped short of saying that the FBI was investigating Fraser’s case as a homicide.

[SBM]

‘The FBI does not have a missing person squad,’ Laanui said. ‘Our special agents focus very intently on other crimes.’

Laanui refused to discuss specifics about the FBI’s ongoing investigation. He did say the agency has persons of interests in the case, but that they are not currently considered subjects or targets.

[SBM]

Fraser was recently named in a lawsuit filed by Michael Miske, a local businessman and former club owner with a violent criminal past that includes an assault charge for allegedly attacking an NFL football player with a champagne bottle.

That charge was eventually dismissed when the victim refused to return to Hawaii for trial.

The lawsuit stems from the death of Miske’s son, Caleb-Jordan Miske-Lee, who was a close friend of Fraser. According to the lawsuit, which Miske filed on behalf of his son’s estate, Miske-Lee and Fraser were involved in a car accident with another vehicle in Kaneohe in November 2015.

Miske-Lee succumbed to his injuries March 12, 2016. The lawsuit blames Miske-Lee’s death on the driver of the other vehicle, on the company that owned the vehicle and on Fraser.

The lawsuit states that Fraser was driving the car with Miske-Lee in the passenger seat when it collided with the other vehicle. But official documents related to the accident, including the autopsy report, indicated that Miske-Lee was found pinned in the driver’s seat wearing a seat belt.” (BBM)

Speaking of anger management issues:

Another incident had taken place one month before the one above:
Honolulu nightclub owner arrested, again
May 21, 2013 08:36 PM
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A Honolulu nightclub owner is in trouble with the law again.

Michael Miske Jr., 39, was booked Tuesday morning on charges of second degree assault and second-degree criminal property damage stemming from an incident last December.

Miske is part owner of the M nightclub at Restaurant Row and the owner of Kama'aina Termite Company.

Police say the assault happened in Honolulu on December 15, 2012.

According to a police report, Miske along with another suspect, caused substantial bodily injury to the victim, a 40-year-old man. Police say Miske also caused damages exceeding $1,500.00 to the victim's property.

Police say a 41-year-old woman was also assaulted when she attempted to intervene.

Miske's record includes 10 convictions and six felonies, including credit card fraud, theft, kidnapping and assault.”

FBI arrests Honolulu businessman Mike Miske, multiple suspects in kidnapping and murder of Hawaii Kai man

According to the federal complaint, Miske, 46, and others “did willfully, intentionally, and knowingly combine, conspire, confederate, and agree together and with each other and others to murder Johnathan Fraser.”

The alleged kidnapping occurred July 30, 2016.

Miske reportedly blamed the driver of the other vehicle and Fraser for his son’s death in the two-vehicle collision.
