Authorities identify woman reported missing from Hickory Hill neighborhood

Memphis Police have identified the woman who went missing from Hickory Hill as Keila Ashford Freeman.

Freeman is reportedly 29-years-old.

Husband of missing mother arrested for throwing Molotov cocktail at home with 5 people inside

FOX13 has learned the husband of a missing Memphis mother, Randall Freeman, was booked into jail. Police said it is for an unrelated aggravated arson charge.

Police said Freeman threw a burning object into a house with five people inside.

Security video from outside the house showed a white van pull up in front of the house and a man jump out, light a flammable substance, and throw it into a window, causing the home to ignite.

The husband says he last saw her sitting in her car at 3:30am, but at 4am he woke up and she wasn't there. However, they found her jeans and purse inside the house. Really strange.

I think we can pretty much count on the hot headed husband being involved. He simply called her mother after he staged the scene in the way it was found.
Pretty big coincidence that his wife goes missing just prior to him attempting to torch five people. Thankfully he's locked up until they can sift through the evidence and try to make sense of it all.

SCSO Searches Home Of Missing Mother

Relatives and friends are now offering a $10,000 reward for information on her whereabouts.
Shelby County deputies searched her home in the 4200 block of Meadow Ridge Trail in Hickory Hill with search rescue dogs.

Little Information in Search for Missing Memphis Mother Keila Freeman

The disappearance of Keila Freeman continues to grow more puzzling as the days now turn to a week since she was last seen.

Keila, 29, and a mother of two, was reportedly last seen in the early hours of Tuesday, September 6 at her home in the Hickory Hill neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee.

According to a police affidavit obtained by NBC affiliate WMC, Keila's husband, Randall Freeman, told investigators he last saw his wife around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when she arrived home. But after pulling her car into the garage, she did not come inside.

Neighbors saw someone digging in backyard of missing woman

"It's just been real quiet," neighbor Portane Gray said. "We have inquired about her missing. We did come down, myself and three other neighbors, and we were going to knock on the door."
Gray said she and other neighbors witnessed someone in the woman's backyard and what they saw them doing caught everyone off guard.

"What is it that they know about our neighbor?" Gray asked. "We approached the backyard. There was someone back there digging in the backyard and they did ask us would we please just leave the premises. They were digging with a shovel and digging deep with a shovel, so there was a lot of dirt back there."

I hope the police have checked the back yard! What a crazy story to print without comment from LE on that witness statement. It doesn't even say if the reporter contact LE but got no comment at this time.

Memphis police were searching a neighborhood in Binghamton Thursday near where a missing woman and her husband apparently worked....

Police would not say if Thursday's search was related to her disappearance. But neighbors said earlier in the week that police knocked on doors in the neighborhood asking for information about the missing woman.

On Wednesday, neighbors said police showed up with cadaver dogs to search the area. Police returned Thursday to the area of Carpenter and Mimosa with a backhoe. They broke up a concrete slab near an art garden and put it in a truck.

I think they were referring to the body found in the lake that wasn't Keila.

I misinterpreted the article posted until I reread it a few times.
