Not much new, except the RCMP are officially saying they consider her disappearance suspicious.

On the map below, the area between the two red markers is McLaughlin Drive. Jami was last seen walking in that vicinity.

I hope they find her safe. It seems she made poor choices in her life, but she has a child. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Police have also released new photos, supplied by her family, which show some of her tattoos.
Her tattoos include a flower on her upper back, a butterfly on her lower back that extends around her waist, a multi-coloured tattoo of a birthday cake, along with other various tattoos on the upper part of her right arm and a red, white and blue Popsicle on the inner part of her upper right arm. Springer also has a large tattoo of the Lord’s Prayer that goes the entire length of her thigh on the left leg

Jami is still missing and has not been seen or heard from since August 31/16. Even LE has deemed her disappearance as suspicious. It is the RCMP Major Crime Unit that is working the case.

This is the latest video I can find, and the flyers have been distributed and are on display in convenience stores, etc. in the area.

The video linked below offers images of Jami that I hadn't seen, and mentions a few more tattoos.

On or around September 3, 2016, (3) days after her reported disappearance, one of Jami's friends said he saw her downtown, near the corner of St. George and Lutz streets.

Springer recently grew out her hair. (RCMP)


"I just remember because she normally has short blonde hair but she grew it out so she took me for surprise," said Andrew Raven.


"I mentioned how I barely noticed her with her long hair and she laughed. said she should stop by once in a blue moon and she said she would and [we] went our separate ways," said Raven.

I wonder why the RCMP seem to be going with the August 31 sighting in the McLaughlin Drive area as the last sighting of Jami?

I'm so glad you have brought this to light. When I first read the article quoting Jami's friend's remarks, I was puzzled by how it was reported.

The only thing I can think of is that the RCMP don't find the friend credible. I don't know, though.

I also completely agree with your observation on the creditably of the witness.

I am interested in your thoughts, in light of all this, that Jami was missing since August 31, but wasn't reported missing until September 4.

The unconfirmed sightings and social media postings, are also more centered on September 4, rather than August 31.

Of course my interest in these dates and timelines are weather or not she was expected to return to her residence on August 31 around 8:00 pm as reported.

I look forward to your thoughts.

It seems like Jami was reported missing about 72 hours after she was last seen. I could be way off here, but that time period may be understandable. With her boyfriend living in Moncton and her parents living in Fredericton, maybe everyone thought they should give her a little time in case she was travelling between cities.

Even if everyone was extremely worried, we don't know that she hadn't disappeared for a short period of time in her past. She is 28 years old. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say here, but depending on her history, maybe everyone was praying she would turn up somewhere soon.

It may not be a positive sign that unconfirmed sightings and social media are focusing on September 4th. Right off the top of my head, I think it would be easy to believe you saw someone on a certain date, but have your dates confused--even if your intentions were good. However, if they weren't, there may be a reason why a person may want attention focused on a different date.

As far as social media goes, anyone could be commenting as Jami. Maybe she was the type that didn't think twice about keeping her passwords secure. I'm pretty sure that the RCMP would never find a comment on a social media sight enough to believe a person was alive, well, and not being held against their will.

I know they have gathered surveillance video from businesses in the McLaughlin Drive area of Moncton. Perhaps they have for other areas as well. I truly do believe they would have checked into the 'sighting' on the 4th and for some reason found it wasn't credible.

Or, suppose they do find it credible, maybe they could be bouncing off of it as they trace her movements?

I seem to be unable to locate where it is published that her sightings on August 31, were the result of surveillance video.

Would you be so kind as to share a link and/or source of that evidence ? Or perhaps you are local to the area , if so I would be very interested in your insights into some locations etc ...

My sincerest apologies, SS. I only meant that they had gathered surveillance video of the McLaughlin Drive area as one area of interest, after the fact of Jami going missing. Please disregard even that, because I cannot support it with a link.

If it's any consolation, I, too, have spent considerable time searching, and I cannot find a thing. Possibly, I had various cases confused. I am very sorry.

I have updated my Google map of Jami's case--as scant as it is. I added the alleged sighting on the corner of St. George and Lutz Streets that you mentioned. You can go in on street view and look around.

I also used the area the CTV reporter was broadcasting from to place the pin location for Jami's last confirmed sighting. (That video is linked in the map and I also added a screenshot from the video.)

Here is my brief timeline, which, I think, puts us in agreement: :)

►Jami was last seen by her mother sometime in August of 2016. Her mother lives in Fredericton.
►Her mother has not heard from Jami since August 31, 2016. Jami’s last known residence was in Moncton.
►Jami’s current boyfriend has not heard from Jami since she messaged him around 7 or 8 pm of August 31, 2016 saying she would be home in about an hour.
►Jami was reported missing by her family on September 4, 2016.
►RCMP confirms last sighting of Jami as being in the McLaughlin Drive area in the late afternoon of August 31, 2016.
►From a MSM article dated September 8/16; we are advised there was an alleged sighting of Jami near the corner of St. George and Lutz Streets. The male friend said he saw her “a few days ago.” I don’t see a specific date given for his alleged sighting.

I think Mr. Raven's "tip" is the type of information the RCMP is seeking.

Below is a recent write-up on Jami. Sadly, the only thing new is that the $10,000 reward hasn't helped. Leads are becoming less and less.

Here is a beautiful tribute to Jami, made by her father:

"Jami is our daughter, she's Mary-Jane's mother, she's Jordan and Joseph's sister, she's a cousin and she's an aunt and she is a beautiful, beautiful spirit," he said.
