GA - Lester Jones, 42, Union City, 1 September 2016

Police fear foul play in case of missing Union City man

Lester Jones, 42, vanished last Thursday afternoon when he went to a nearby Walmart from his Union City home.

His roommate, Patrick McDonald, is worried sick. After many unanswered phone calls, McDonald had a sinking feeling.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

    Yikes! Poor guy.

McDonald said Jones had his credit card and his car when he vanished. He said Jones is without medication for PTSD and Narcolepsy after a life-altering break-in at his childhood Mississippi home years ago.
“He was shot when he was young in his teens, with a .45 in his hip,” said McDonald.

It never fails to surprise me how such an ordinary errand, such as running to Walmart, can turn into a life changing/life ending event. I hope I am wrong in this case but it sure doesn't sound good at all. Hoping Lester is found soon.

Perhaps because (as I had suspected): "Jones was disabled due to being shot by a burglar as a teenager":

I suspect that these complete, cowardly loser (OK, allegedly) suspects saw Lester, noticed his disability (his roommate says he can "walk and do stuff" but not for any length of time, in the video at above link), and picked him out.

Not that any crime makes sense, but this is especially senseless. Lester's roommate is quoted as saying, "'He had a heart of gold and he cared for so many people' ... 'He would give anybody the shirt off of his back.'" Lester also leaves behind a daughter . Rest in peace, sweet man.
