Whoa, wait a minute this says it was a murder suicide: http://www.centralctcommunications.com/newbritainherald/article_f3515774-76b3-11e6-abe2-4b130f133934.html

Police had put out a plea to the public for information on 37-year-old Janet Caraballo who disappeared Thursday night after she went out for a break around 7:45 p.m. Caraballo was captured on a video camera getting into a silver Mustang belonging to Luis Rodriguez, her long-time boyfriend, according to her 20-year-old son Edward Caraballo.

“We’re hoping someone sees something and calls,” said her son who was flying to Connecticut from his home in Puerto Rico Friday night because of his mother’s disappearance. “We don’t know if she’s dead or alive.”
Police found Rodriguez's body in an abandoned house on Kensington Avenue around 1 a.m. this morning. Caraballo was found in a wooded area on the Plainville line this afternoon, Capt. Thomas Steck said.

Neighbors And Colleagues Express Grief For New Britain Murder-Suicide Victim

News of the death of Janet Caraballo, a victim in a suspected murder-suicide, hit her colleagues at the Hospital of Central Connecticut very hard, and grief counselors were available to them on site Saturday morning, according to a hospital spokesman.

Caraballo, 37, was a nurse tech who worked in the behavioral health department for two years, Shawn Mawhiney, a Hartford HealthCare spokesman, said Saturday.

Caraballo's body was found in a wooded area in Plainville after being reported missing Thursday night. Her 46-year-old boyfriend, Luis Rodriguez, was found dead hours earlier in a suspected murder-suicide, officials said.

The body was discovered about 2 p.m. on secluded, private property off North Mountain Road, Capt. Thomas Steck said. Caraballo's body had been stabbed to death, police said. Police did not disclose how the body was found.

Rodriguez, also of James Avenue, was found dead at about 1 a.m. Friday in a vehicle behind a vacant home on Kensington Avenue in New Britain, police said. His death appears to be a suicide, police said.

Police said that they believe the deaths were a case of domestic murder-suicide and that they were not looking for any other suspects. Investigators said they haven't had previous interactions with Rodriguez.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Franshesca Bjorklund at 860-826-3145.
