Thirteen-year-old Shevy McGiffin left her Fraternity Drive residence around 6:45 p.m. to go to the Dollar Store on South 5th Avenue in Clarion.
Chevy has blonde hair in a pony tail, is 4’8″ tall with a chubby build, and was wearing a pink Under Armour hoodie, pink shorts, and black Nike sandals.
She was last seen in the Comet Warehouse – Dollar General area on South 5th Avenue.
According to PSP Clarion, Shevy remains missing as of 3:15 p.m. today.
Police list her as Runaway/Missing.

Elkand Search and Rescue has a post on their FB page and say that she was seen talking to a man who has buick.

MISSING CLARION GIRL.Her name is Shevy. She has blonde hair She was wearing a pink under armor hoodie with pink shorts! She has been missing since lastnight...Please keep your eyes out.If you find her please contact Tina McGiffin or the police immediately! She was last seen talking to an older man in a buick.

I hate to ask this at her age of 13 but she is described in the MSM as husky but not preg at 13?
No matter I hope she returns safe.

ETA....Just wanted to add at the age of 50, I have been asked if I was pregnant... sigh. My treadmill and I are now friends.

A 13yr old should be able to walk to the store safely. I hope that is misinformation about her talking to someone in a Buick and that she's just at a friend's house. Please let this young lady be safe!
 
I searched for updates on Twitter and found nothing. Her name brought up nothing :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought maybe she was pregnant when I saw the pic too. I wish they had used a different picture--one which shows her beautiful face closer. It looks like she might have a birthmark or scar on her forehead? It's hard to tell if that is just a pimple or scratch. Shevy looks so young. She is only 13. I hope she is found safe!
 
I can't link from my phone, but I found her Facebook. She has 3 friends. It's locked down, but if you look closely, there's some... Stuff.

I linked her fb above. I only see her profile pic and not anything else. Is the "stuff" her friends? ETA: Nevermind. Her friends appear to be family members.
 
I think the street name of fraternity drive threw me off on her age.

Hope they've been trying to figure out if she was communicating with someone online. This sounds quite scary considering her mother said she only has one friend (she said this on her FB page). She can't be that many places safely :(.
 
Update on the Elk Rescue status that I linked above about Shevy

MISSING GIRL UPDATE: There will be a prayer service and community gathering tonight for 13-year-old Shevy McGiffin.
The gathering will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Clarion.
Shevy went missing from her Fraternity Drive residence last night around 6:45 p.m.
She remains missing as of 5 p.m., according to authorities.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Clarion at 814-226-1710.
Additional information is available at www.exploreClarion.com.

Authorities have classified the case as a Runaway/Missing child investigation.
A representative with PSP Clarion told exploreClarion.com that it was unknown if an Amber Alert would be issued.
The representative said there is no immediate threat to any other children in the area at this time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Clarion at 814-226-1710.
Additionally, a prayer service and community gathering will be held tonight for Shevy at 7:30 p.m.
The service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 700 Wood Street in Clarion Borough.

Facebook posts seem to indicate a chaotic home life. From recent but pre-missing days, the dad has some sweet posts about his daughter. Search Shevy's name on Facebook to find where the dad has commented on posts. He has two FB pages.
 
Fraternity Drive, Clarion to The Dollar General and Comet Food Warehouse is about 0.1 miles approximately a 3 minute walk.
It is sickening that a 13 year-old young woman can not be afforded even that much independence.

You are on my mind Shevy.
