Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

Due to Daren’s age and the limited contact he had with his mother, police are concerned for his welfare.

Daren has blue eyes and short blond hair. He was last seen in grey shorts and a blue and grey striped shirt.

He was last seen with his mother, Julyssa Garcia, at their home in the 2000 block of Cumberland Drive in Woodbridge.

Confusing - the reside in the same home but his teen mother (also missing) has had limited contact with him?

hmmm. Hoping this resolves quickly and with both mother and child safe.

The "limited contact" statements are confusing. I found one place that says "due to age and no contact with mother". That comes from Prince William County PD. I wonder if what they are trying to say is that they are concerned because the mother has not contacted anyone? I cannot find any criminal record for her or any previous stories so I don't think they mean to say they live in the same house but don't see one another. That would be strange.
