Detroit man charged with shooting father

A Detroit man who allegedly shot his father as he ate dinner and was accused of shooting a police sergeant who was chasing him Monday evening has been charged in the shooting of his father.

Marquise Cromer, 21, who police have said suffers from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, was charged Tuesday with two counts of of assault with to intent to murder in connection with the non-fatal shooting of Sterling Cromer, 62, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.

Cromer was arraigned Tuesday and bond was set at $750,000.
