AURORA WOMAN MISSING 3 WEEKS LAST SEEN IN KEY WEST

The last time Robin was seen was at around 3:00 am on 8/30 in Key West.
She had a court date later that day and didn't show up.
She did not show up for her flight leaving on 8/31.
Ford's family said her disappearance remains a mystery.

Interesting posts on her find page. Unfortunately, I don't think this is going to end well 😕I really, really hope I'm wrong. She is obviously very, very loved. Her family's posts just break my heart.

What a fascinating case. I never knew there were transient people who lived on islands in Key West and used dinghies to get around! Sadly it sounds like a high-risk lifestyle and it seems pretty apparent what has happened to Robin. I am still holding out some hope that she's just moved on to the next city, though.

I used to live just outside of Key West - there are many transients there, but most keep to themselves. There's an old saying, "You move to Key West because you're either running from the law, or running from love". When I lived there, many people were involved in dealing drugs, "Don't ever ask your neighbor what he does for a living - it's not your business; if he's kind and generous, just say thank you". But yeah, Stock Island has a large transient population; many in that area live on boats off-shore, others at campgrounds, and still others live under bridges. But, being a small town, if she's there, she'll be found. Of course the sea is very large, and if she's there, she may be difficult to locate unless the ocean itself decides to give her up.

Herb Ford has a lot to deal with as he faces terminal cancer in the large three-story home on View Street in Aurora where he and his wife, Lois, raised their 12 children.

Yet that's not the biggest concern the 83-year-old retired Caterpillar man is facing these days.

More than anything, he wants to find out what happened to his daughter, Robin Ford, who has been missing since the end of August from Key West, Fla., where she had been living with a friend on a sailboat since January.

Aurora Cubs fan dies right after World Series game at Wrigley

Gathered around him at Seasons Hospice in Naperville watching the game on television were all 10 of his surviving children: A daughter Marcia Scarpetta died a few years ago; and his daughter Robin Ford has been missing since the end of August from Key West, Florida.

Although he had no closure over daughter Robin's mysterious fate before his death, Herb Ford, like the rest of the large, close-knit family, had come to terms with the fact she was the victim of foul play and that her body was likely somewhere in the ocean.

Still missing. On a small island like Key West everyone knows everything about everybody; the fact that no one seems to have any information on Robin or has been able to identify the man she was with in that one photo is definitely disconcerting. The other issue is that the wind in the channel the day she went missing was pretty strong - she could have had her dinghy swamped (there was a bad storm as well) if she was trying to get from Wisteria Island back to Key West...
