A Florida man who first tried hang gliding at age 54 is now recognized as the world's oldest hang-glider pilot.

Neal Goss Jr., 85, is still hang-gliding at least once a month near Orlando. He's earned a spot in the Guinness World Records.

The former dentist taught himself to fly jumping off beach dunes after reading about the sport in Reader's Digest.

Goss has collected his share of battle scars in 30 years of hang gliding, including a fractured skull, four tree landings a near-tangle with a mountain bear.
