"When from a long distant past nothing persists, after the people are dead, after things are broken and scattered, still alone, more persistent, more faithful, the smell and taste of things remain poised a long, long time like souls, ready to remind us, waiting, hoping for their moment amid the ruins of all the rest, and bear unfaltering in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence the vast structure of recollection."

10-04-2016, 03:51 AM #3A friend of Phelps’ became worried Sunday morning and drove to Donnell Vista Point, where Phelps often hikes the river to fish.
The friend found Phelps’ red 2007 Nissan Versa parked on the side of the road about a quarter-mile west of Donnell Vista Point.
His phone could not be tracked because it was turned off, the press release stated.

Donnell Vista Point is where two other women went missing, I think one was in 2005 and the other in 2014, both never found. It's beautiful there. I guess there must be a trail nearby to get down to the river to go fishing.IMO
First they came for the communists and I did not speak out because I was not a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.
Finally, they came for me and there was no one left to speak out.

Is the river a large one with swift moving water, where if he fell in he would be carried far away? What about his fishing equipment, then, though. You would think something (like a tackle box) would have been left on the shore of where he'd been fishing. But then, maybe he wore those fishing vests with lots of pockets that held hooks and lures, etc?
How chilling that there were other people who disappeared from this very spot, as well. Spooky!
