Whites family found out Dec. 1, 2004, from Brank that she had been reported missing in June 2004 by an associate, Ernest T. Turner.
Brank said she was assigned to the case at the end of September. Since then, she had been committed to working on the rash of armed robberies in the area. When she got a break toward the end of November, she began working on the White case.
Brank said the reporting person did not list any family members on the missing person report, and she was lucky when she came across the sisters name in the KPDs communication data base.
In an earlier interview, Kristy Cansler, Whites sister who resides in Dallas, said she contacted their mother, Sharon Clark, who resides in Harker Heights.
In a previous interview, Clark said she had not seen her daughter since April 2004 in court in Belton. The reason they were in court was because her missing daughter has problems, and the result of the court action was that she took custody of Whites son.
White has been committed 21 times to mental facilities, her mother said.
White grew up in Louisiana and Killeen. She had lived in Killeen since she was 16 years old, her mother said.
Clark said the man who reported her daughter missing is not biologically related to her. After the court hearing in April 2004, Clark said her daughter couldnt live at her home along with her son. So, Turner allowed her to stay with him.
