KSP Looking For Missing Man

MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) KSP Investigators with Post 13 in Hazard are looking for the publics assistance as they search for a missing Magoffin County man.

Standifer is described by KSP as a 48-year-old white man. They say he is 6 feet tall and about 250 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.

Thanks Tulessa, I was about to post this one.

They say that family members of Scotty Lee Standifer contacted them on September 11 to advise that they had not had contact with him since August 28.

He is originally from Salyersville but was last known to be staying in the Happy community of Perry County.

Perhaps those charges have something to do with estrangement from his family?

Mary Standifer said that on August 28, she called her brother Scotty. Their cousin had just died.

Two weeks later, their father passed away but when Mary called with the bad news, Scott never answered.

The day she arranged her father’s funeral in Perry County, Mary stopped and filed a missing person report with State police.

I'm sad to say, I don't have much empathy for this man, but I feel for his family. They deserve to know what happened to him at the very least.
