On October 15, 20 year old DeCorrius Jones left his apartment in Lawrenceville after a verbal fight with his girlfriend. DeCorrius’s mother and girlfriend saw him leave, without his shirt, shoes, wallet, or cell phone. They thought he had stepped out for a few minutes of clarity, but he never came back. Since then, no one has seen nor heard from Jones.

“We’ve been through the woods searching. We’ve had his cousins out. They’ve been searching. His parents are just torn up because they can’t find him,” says Katina Harris, another of his aunts.
DeCorrius Jones was last seen in the area of Sugarloaf Crossing Apartments in Lawrenceville wearing navy blue basketball shorts.

He’s 6’3” and weighs 250 pounds.

"Jones walked away from his Lawrenceville apartment on October 15 following a verbal fight with his girlfriend. His family says both his girlfriend and his mother saw him walk away. They expected him to return quickly because they say he left without shoes, a shirt, or his wallet. But he hasn’t been seen or heard from since that day."

Still missing. Go home, Decorrius. Be safe.

Bumping for DeCorrius, still missing. I hope he's safe and sound.

Are they any new reports about DeCorrius? I can't find anything after Nov 15 or thereabouts.

How do you know he's still missing? Is the a search page for him on fb?

I saw a flyer circulated on social media. I suppose it may have been outdated -- but his social media still hasn't been updated since before he went missing.

It also seems there are posts and tweets in the middle of December about him being missing.
Considered rumor nothing in msm.

Mother hopeful as search for missing Gwinnett teen enters second year

A desperate search for a missing teenager took another turn this week with the use of cadaver dogs.

Draco, a black German Shepherd who specializes in finding cadaver and live bodies, was searching for any signs of DeCorrius Jones Wednesday. He was searching in the woods near the Sugarloaf Crossing Apartment Complex in the Lawrenceville area where Jones disappeared from in October of 2016.

The day-long search on Wednesday ultimately turned up nothing, begging the question where is DeCorriuss Jones?

Tracy Sargent, who operates Canine Search and Rescue Specialist, told FOX 5 Atlanta that it’s never easy on the family of the missing person.

“We certainly hoped we were going to find something here but at the same time we didn’t but the family still wants to know. The not knowing is the worse,” said Sargent.

Jane Holmes the private investigator also said people can message her on the Facebook page set up to find DeCorriuss Jones at Facebook.com/pattylanepi.

DeCorrius Jones disappeared in an acid-driven outburst, family members say. He’d already been experimenting with the psychedelic drug for a few days when he took some the night of Oct. 15, 2016. The affable 20-year-old told friends and family the acid was expanding his mind, making him see more clearly. But as that October night at Lawrenceville’s Sugarloaf Crossing Apartments turned into morning, it merely fueled altercations — first with his girlfriend, then with his mother.

The morning of his disappearance, Jones took off running down the stairs from his second-story apartment, presumably into the nearby woods. Six-foot-3 and 250 pounds, wearing nothing but navy blue basketball shorts.

His mother and girlfriend let him run, figured it was safer that way, that he’d cool off for a while and come back. He never did.

On this day, Tracy Sargent and her K-9s are searching for a Lawrenceville man who disappeared more than a year ago in a drug-induced rage.

Wow, what an insane story. While I feel for the mother and her hope that he is still alive, sadly I don't think that is the case. Surely whoever he went too would have contacted his family by now, especially with this being all over the local news.

It feels like he suicided[emoji22]
I wonder if they were searching up not just looking down.

All moo

Details of Disappearance
Jones was last seen at his home at Sugarloaf Crossing Apartments in the 1500 block of Norcross Road in Lawrenceville, Georgia on October 15, 2016. He was under the influence of LSD and in an altered mental state when he picked up his girlfriend, Deona Horton, from work at 9:00 p.m.

They got into an argument while he drove the ten minutes to their shared apartment, and Jones told Horton was "not afraid of anything but God and my mom" and that "my mother's a God." After they arrived at Sugarloaf Crossing Apartments, he attacked Horton, hitting and choking her.

Jones's girlfriend said normally he was a loving "teddy bear-like" man, but that night she was afraid of her life. She was able to get out of the apartment, ran outside, hid in the bushes behind the apartment complex and called 911 and then Jones's mother, who lived five minutes away.

When Jones's mother arrived, she found him on the first floor of the complex. He told her not to listen to Horton because "she's the devil." Horton went to sit in Jones's mother's car, while Jones and his mother went to his apartment. Inside, he attacked and choked her, only stopping when Horton came upstairs and interrupted him. He chased Horton downstairs and she hid again and made a second 911 call, while Jones ran out into the woods behind the apartment complex.

This was the last time anyone saw Jones. He has warrants out for his arrest for battery and false imprisonment in connection with the assaults on his girlfriend and mother, but his family stated it's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning, and they're afraid for his safety.

He grew up in Columbus, Georgia and attended Central Gwinnett High School there, then left school, got his GED and took a job with a waterproofing company. He has still has ties to the Columbus area. His case remains unsolved.
